Douglas V Midleton, Dec 5th.

First win for the U-13s in terrible conditions away to Douglas. Tries from James Kenfick, Tommy Sullivan and Julian Power with 2 conversions from James against the wind had Midleton 19 -5 up at half time.

As conditions worsened in the second half neither team could get over the line, although Midleton spent most of the half inside their oppositions 22 and could have added to the winning margin only for some white line fever taking hold. Defensive credit to James Kenfick who chased a breakaway the length of the field to prevent a second Douglas try on the 5 M line.

Full credit to Douglas who battled hard all the way and never let the heads drop. Still plenty of work to do for Midleton in training but a win always make the next training session easier.
